We like to dive well under the radar to uncover facts not well publicized. For instance, The Chisox hit the .500 mark for the first time since April 16. And, SP Philip Humber has had 11 quality starts (6 IP, 3 runs or less) in his last 12.

• Detroit pitchers have allowed 10 runs or more nine times, including three at home last week. None involved Justin Verlander, who went 6-0 in June.

• A red flag should go up if you see Houston lefty starter J.A. Happ when studying which matchups to bet. Happ (or Happ-less as Astros backers might say) is just 3-10 after his latest loss Saturday to Boston.

• They say as Tulu goes, so does Colorado. The Rockies beat up on KC pitching and Troy Tulowitzki hit homers in three straight games. Also, closer Huston Street has 24 saves, but Rockies are only 22-22 at Coors.

• Seattle is starting to get some dividends from the Cliff Lee deal. No, not the Lee trade to the Phils but the one to Texas. From the Rangers came Blake Beavan, who won his major league debut last Sunday — the same day Lee lost at Toronto.

• Watch out for the Pirates this week, playing with a chip on their shoulders after a number of All-Star snubs. Andrew McCutcheon has much better numbers than several outfielders making the NL roster and Kevin Correa’s 11-6 record was ignored for Giants’ Ryan Vogelsong with just eight victories.

• Talk about your home / road disparity! Milwaukee is an MLB best 29-11 at Miller Park, 16-29 away.

• More polar opposites: St. Louis SP Kyle McClellan has not won since May 19. . .Dodgers lefty Clayton Kershaw has lost just once since April 26.

• Florida, 1-20 before changing bosses, is 6-6 under Jack McKeon.

• Jose Valverde (DET) 20 saves!
