Tampa, FL (Sports Network) – New York Yankees outfielder Curtis Granderson might not be ready for Opening Day due to a strained interior oblique muscle.
Granderson suffered the injury during batting practice on Tuesday and the 30- year-old had an MRI Wednesday.
In 136 games for New York last season, Granderson batted .247 with 24 homers and 67 RBI.
The Yankees begin the season with a matchup against the Tigers on March 31
