Steelers’ Ward arrested on DUI charge by The Sports Network

Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver Hines Ward was arrested early Saturday morning on a drunk driving charge.

According to the DeKalb County jail record, Ward was arrested for allegedly driving under the influence of alcohol. He was booked into the jail at 3:41 a.m. (et) and later released on $1,000 bond.

The former University of Georgia star has spent his entire 13-year career with the Steelers. He was the MVP of Super Bowl XL after the 2005 season and most recently was the winner of the television competition “Dancing with the Stars.”
