To fill the roster spot, the club selected the contract of catcher Wyatt Toregas from Triple-A Indianapolis. He was batting a mere .034 (1-for-29) in 11 games for the minor league club this season.
The 28-year-old appeared in 19 major league contests with the Cleveland Indians during the 2009 campaign and hit .176 with six RBI.
