NFL odds favor Cowboys early, against Bears by The Gaming Today’s Mark Mayer

Taking the optimistic approach that there will be an NFL season, it seems quite possible that the Chicago Bears could struggle early and the Dallas Cowboys jump out to a 3-0 start.

The Las Vegas Hilton SuperBook’s recently released Games of the Year has the NFC finalist Bears a 5-point underdog at 2010 Super Bowl champion New Orleans in Week 1 and a 3-point home underdog to current Super Bowl champ Green Bay in Week 2.

Meanwhile the Cowboys open up the first three weeks with opponents that posted losing records last year. Dallas is a 1½-point favorite at San Francisco, a 7-point favorite against Washington and a 5½ point chalk against Detroit.

AFC champion Pittsburgh first appears on the Hilton futures sheet in Week 2 as a 2½-point underdog at Indianapolis. The New York Jets, two-time AFC finalists, also make the Hilton’s list in Week 2 as a 3-point favorite at Oakland.
