‘Jimmer mania’ tops exotic bets at Luckys / Cantor sports books by The Gaming Today’s Mark Mayer

There may not be an NBA season with the lockout now in effect, but Lucky’s Race and Sports Books and Cantor Gaming have put out some interesting props.

Topping the list at Lucky’s is Jimmer Fredette, the player of the year in college basketball last season at BYU and top draft pick of the NBA’s Sacramento Kings. Lucky’s has Fredette’s total points during the 2011-12 regular season at 850. The over / under is -115 either way.

Of course, there are stipulations for the wager. First, Fredette needs to play at least one regular season game. An injury would make the under a solid play.

Second, the Kings would have to play at least 80 games. At this point that would appear highly doubtful. Nonetheless the futures wager is good for the present.

Cantor Gaming has a separate prop on UNLV’s projected win total in college football, setting the number at 3. Currently the under is 125, the over at +105. Not an optimistic view for UNLV fans, but certainly worth a look at the over when just a 4-8 record would win the wager.

Here are some other futures these aggressive books have listed:
