Jets to hold training camp at NJ practice facility by The Sports Network

The New York Jets have moved their 2011 training camp to their facility in Florham Park, New Jersey.

With the labor issue still to be settled, the team felt it was best to remain at its home base rather than travel to SUNY Cortland as it has the past two years.

“With all the variables presented by this unique offseason, we felt it was best for the Jets that we hold our training camp here at our practice facility,” said general manager Mike Tannenbaum in a statement. “This was not an easy decision, but it’s one we felt we needed to make in order to give us the best chance to win.”

In 2009 and 2010 the Jets held OTAs, minicamps and training camp practices at their New Jersey complex.

A return to SUNY Cortland is likely for the summer of 2012.
