The Chicago Blackhawks and goaltender Corey Crawford have agreed to terms on a three-year contract.
Crawford led rookie goaltenders with 33 wins (33-18-6) this season. He also had four shutouts and a 2.30 goals-against-average.
The 26-year-old netminder became the second Blackhawks goaltender since 1994 to reach the 30-win plateau in 2010-11, his first full NHL season.
Crawford played in seven games during the playoffs, compiling a 3-4 record with a 2.21 GAA. The Blackhawks lost in seven games to the top-seeded Canucks in the first round.
Chicago’s second selection (52nd overall) in the 2003 NHL Entry Draft, Crawford has compiled a 34-21-7 record and 2.33 GAA over 65 regular-season tilts.
