AFC South Preview by Sean Higgs

Today we head to the AFC South to see if anyone can battle the Texans for the top spot.

1. HOUSTON TEXANS – This is there spot to lose. I think they are the most experienced team in the division, with the best defense and defensive player. B2B division titles is nice, but it is Super Bowl or bust for this group. Matt Schaub has the weapons on offense to produce. Time to get this ship to NY for the big show.

2. TENNESSEE TITANS – I think Tennessee takes a nice step forward here. They didn’t do anything flashy this off-season. They only got probably the best guard in free agency and probably the best guard in the draft. Not sexy, but I am sure 2000 yard rusher Chris Johnson will be happy to have a solid OL blocking for him. QB Jake Locker should enjoy a little more time and get some points on the board.

3. INDIANAPOLIS COLTS – Everyone loves Andrew Luck. I am not doubting he is a stud QB. But I am calling out the old sophomore jinx. He was sacked 41 times last year. They need to protect him better. They also need some more production out of their RBs. Let’s face it. Last year was a story-book season. I expect some growing pains, albeit a year later than expected.

4. JACKSONVILLE JAGUARS – Well, when you go 2-14 you would think the only place to go is up. What is there to say. Rebuild, rebuild, rebuild. Gus Bradley is in for a long first year with this franchise.
