In this piece we will examine the unusual amount of road teams that have surprised their opponents with upset wins. These results clearly show the parity in the NBA This season especially in the West.
In the NHL We have seen Similar results with road teams. In the first round we saw Montreal go into Boston and take the first two games of their series, only to have Boston come right back and take the next two on the road in Montreal. That particular set actually set up a solid game 5 situation where home teams all time in the NHL are 21-3 in Game 5 if the visitor won the first 4 games. Boston held the system true to form with their game five win. In the Second round we have seen More Road Warriors emerge. Tampa Bay has taken the first two games in Washington, while Boston has won their first two games in Philadelphia in a series rematch from last year where The Flyers were only the third team to ever come back from an 0-3 deficit.
