Georgia’s Fox receives raise, contract extension by The Sports Network

Athens, GA (Sports Network) – Georgia head men’s basketball coach Mark Fox was given a raise and a one-year contract extension on Thursday.

Fox will receive a raise from $1.3 million to $1.7 million, while his contract has been extended through the 2016 season.

“Mark has been extraordinary and brought a new level of excitement to our basketball fans,” said Michael F. Adams, president of the University of Georgia. “He has done things the right way, and I look forward to many more years of his leadership in our basketball program.”

Fox guided the Bulldogs to the NCAA Tournament in his second year as head coach. Georgia lost to Washington in the second round of the tournament to finish with a 21-12 record.
