New York, NY (Sports Network) – The NBA has released its list of early-entry candidates for the 2011 draft.
A total of 89 players, including 69 players from United States colleges and 20 international players, have declared for the draft. Those players still can withdraw from draft consideration by June 13.
Among the notable players that applied for the draft were Duke’s Kyrie Irving, Arizona’s Derrick Williams, San Diego State’s Kawhi Leonard, Butler’s Shelvin Mack, Kansas’ Morris twins — Markieff and Marcus — as well as Kemba Walker, who led Connecticut to the NCAA Tournament championship.
The NBA Draft is scheduled for June 23 at the Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey.
