Houston, TX (Sports Network) – The Houston Rockets made three roster moves on Monday, highlighted by the signing of center Marcus Cousin.
Cousin signed a non-guaranteed contract with the Rockets and was assigned to Houston’s NBDL affiliate Rio Grande Valley for the remainder of the season. This is the second NBA contract for Cousin this season as he signed a 10-day contract with the Utah Jazz on March 9.
Along with the signing of Cousin, the Rockets recalled center Hasheem Thabeet from Rio Grande Valley for the remaining two games of the season. Thabeet has played in two games for the Rockets this season since being acquired from the Memphis Grizzlies on February 24.
The second overall pick in the 2009 NBA Draft, Thabeet is averaging 1.1 points and 1.6 rebounds in 47 games this season with Memphis and Houston.
To make room for Thabeet the Rockets waived forward DeMarre Carroll.
