Horse Sense by Steve Williams

If you mention horse racing to the casual sports fan, they will most likely think of the Kentucky Derby held the first Saturday of May each year. Or possibly the other legs of horse racing’s Triple Crown, the Preakness and Belmont Stakes.

As for the serious horse bettor the two best days of racing are in the fall. The Breeders Cup is every horse players dream. Big Payouts, the Best Horses,Best Jockeys and Best Trainers all assemble for 14 races spread out over 2 days .

This year historic Churchill Downs will host ” The Cup”. Friday November 5th with 6 races and Saturday Nov 6th with 8 races topped by the 5 million dollar Breeders Cup Classic.

For our concerns the payouts are what matter. And there will be large sums of money to be won for those ” in the know”. And thats us . Over 20 years of horse racing handicapping experience along with the best trackside contacts in the country allow us to pick big price winners on a consistent basis for our customers.

Our strength at Steve Williams Sports is finding value and big payouts . This past Satruday Oct 30, we cashed a $ 108 exacta and $ 457 trifecta in the 5th race at Belmont ( the 1-9-10). A total of $ 24 wagered – $ 2 exacta trifecta box returned $ 565 !!!

We followed that up with a sharp win at Hollywood Park on Sunday Oct 31. In race 7 we hit the 1-2-7. # 1 won and paid $ 29 in the win place. The 1-2 exacta paid $ 142 and the 1-2-7 trifecta paid $ 600.

And that is the beauty of betting the horses. Low dollar amounts wagered = big return on investment (ROI).

Our free race for the Breeders Cup is on Saturday in the Turf Sprint. Race # 6 on the card.

Take the # 5 Silver Timber(5-1) #9 Rose Catherine (10-1) and # 14 Canadian Ballet (30-1)

Play at least a $2 exacta and trifecta box ( $ 24 total ) and play the longshot Canadian Ballet $ 10 across the board. ($30). The Linda Rice trainee has a big chance to pull the upset at a big price.
