Peoria, IL (Sports Network) – Bradley University introduced Geno Ford as head men’s basketball coach on Monday.
The 36-year-old Ford joins the Braves after spending the last three years at Kent State. He led Kent State to its second consecutive Mid-American Conference regular-season title this season.
After losing in overtime to Akron in the MAC Tournament championship game, the Golden Flashes won a pair of NIT games before falling to Colorado in the quarterfinals to finish with a 25-12 record.
Ford posted a 68-37 record at Kent State, including a 35-13 mark in conference play. He also coached at NAIA Shawnee State and Division III Muskingum.
Ford replaces Jim Les, who was relieved of his duties earlier this month after nine seasons. Bradley was 12-20 this season.
