2011/12- NBA Mid Season Power Angle Report by Rob Vinciletti

The NBA Is reaching the All star break late this week. We have seen many unusual games in this lockout shortened season. With the league trying to minimize the loss of games due to the lock out, we have seen many games being played without the benefit of adequate rest. There have been instances with teams playing 3 games in 3 nights, and several occasions where teams are playing 4 games in 6 nights. Perhaps this is, and the lack of a true training camp are why we are seeing lower scoring games and several blowouts on a nightly basis. Now that we are nearing the All star break each team has developed some type of form pertaining to games with no rest. Below is a Power angle for each team where games with no rest has proved profitable in both side or totals action. Bobcats: Charlotte is 2-7 straight up and to the spread at home with no rest. Bucks: Milwaukee has gone over the total in their last 6 home games with no rest. Bulls: Chicago is 8-1 straight up with 7 spread wins with no rest off a home game. Cavaliers: Cleveland is 5-1 ats on the road off a road game with no rest after scoring 90 or more. Celtics: Boston is an anemic 1-13 straight up and to the spread on the road with no rest over the last 2 seasons. Clippers: LA has won and covered 6 of 8 with no rest. Grizzlies: All teams traveling into Memphis with no rest are 1-9 ats if they scored 90 or more. Hawks: Atlanta has covered 6 of 7 this season at home with no rest by an average 100-89 score. Heat: Miami has soared over the total 6 of 8 times as a road favorite of 5 or more with no rest. Lakers: LA is just 2-6 straight up and the spread on the road with no rest, with 6 of the games going under the total. Magic: Orlando is 6-2 ats on the road with no rest and have covered all 3 as a dog in this situation.
