NFL Divisions, and how I see them.
The NFL consists of 16 grueling regular season games. If we have learned anything over the years, it is that no team is unbeatable. Not to mention that a single injury can cause a top team to become mediocre in a flash. I think the big difference in this upcoming season is that there aren’t many middle-ranked teams. The league is made up primarily of very good or very bad teams. Barring injury, here is how I see the NFL Divisions looking come January.
AFC East
1 New York-We hear the hype. They made the trades. They are looking good.
2 New England-Still a lot of talent, experience and pride here.
3 Miami-A solid squad but just not top tier.
4 Buffalo-what can I say, it’s going to be a long, cold winter up there.
AFC South
1 Indianapolis-An elite team that isn’t happy finishing second a year ago.
2 Houston- A good team a year ago is now improved on. They will surprise some folks.
3 Tennessee-Had a tough time deciding on this one. But after last year, they must prove themselves first.
4 Jacksonville-A good team but in a Division with better teams.
AFC North
1 Baltimore-Strong QB, running game, and defense. Very complete.
2 Cincinnati-Very good all around squad with a QB that keeps looking better.
3 Pittsburgh-With or without Big Ben, this team is in trouble.
4 Cleveland-Be lucky to win 5 games this year, despite having some talent.
AFC West
1 San Diego-Very good squad. Offense is a machine.
2 Denver-Good coach, good all-around team. Rooting for Tebow to take the reigns.
3 Oakland-What a waste of some real talent.
4 Kansas City-Might do better then last years 4 wins, but not by much.
NFC East
1 Dallas-If they stay healthy, they can win 12 games.
2 Philadelphia-Good team. Young but has talent. Tough schedule.
3 New York-Could very well be #2 seed here. This team is good but has some cracks.
4 Washington-In a Division with 3 better teams. Defense can get them some wins.
NFC South
1 New Orleans-As good as it gets. Can repeat.
2 Atlanta-Good QB, running game, and coach. Oh but if it wasn’t for New Orleans.
3 Carolina-Very good running game but shaky at QB. Will miss trading Peppers.
4 Tampa bay-This team is a mess
NFC North
1 Minnesota-If pre-season injuries don’t hurt them, they can finish on top.
2 Green Bay-Very good on both sides of the ball. Definitely between them and Minny.
3 Chicago-I don’t care who they traded for. Bad coach and interception-prone QB. Won’t finish .500.
4 Detroit-Will improve on last year, but not by much.
NFC West
1 San Fransisco-Unless they self-destruct, should take the Divison.
2 Arizona-Will miss Warner, badly.
3 Seattle-Pete Carroll has a new attitude installed.
4 St. Louis-Winning 3 games in the pre-season will be the highlight of their year.
