NFL Fantasy Football Picks to Click by The Gaming Today’s Micah Roberts

Many fantasy teams have started or are just beginning their
fantasy playoffs and for a team that has been carried all season by Matt Forte,
it may seem as if it’s over. But all hope is not lost because of his back-up,
Marion Barber, and there are a couple of other possibilities that could help
lead your team to the promised land.

Beyond picking up free-agents, there are probably a few players on
your bench that have been sitting there in non-bye weeks that you can’t seem to
pull the trigger on that keep outperforming your expectations like QB Tim Tebow
has done. At some juncture, we have to say that between his running ability and
now his throwing (no turnovers) that he’s a better fit for your team’s
performance than Tony Romo, Mark Sanchez and Matt Ryan.

Here’s a look at some pick-ups for week 14:

RB Marion Barber, Chicago Bears

Although the Bears are having trouble with Caleb Hanie moving the
ball, Barber should be picked up immediately whether you need him or not. He’ll
be getting the load of the carries and swing out passes and will put up numbers.
Even if you don’t need him, get him anyway so that your opponents can’t.

WR Demaryius Thomas, Denver Broncos

The Tebow effect has even made draft busts like Thomas come alive
as he had his best pro game last week against the Vikings, routinely getting
open deep. The Broncos don’t throw a lot, but a high percentage of the passes go
deep into a wide open secondary with safeties cheating for the run.

RB Roy Helu, Washington Redskins

It’s hard to keep up with what Mike Shanahan is going to do at the
RB position, but two straight 100 yard games with a TD in each make it look like
Helu is the guy moving forward. He’s likely not to be available in most leagues,
but is someone that should move to the starting role against a shaky Patriots
defense this week. – Micah Roberts
