Now, down to business

1. OKLAHOMA SOONERS – This team is loaded again and should run the table right into the BCS Championship game in New Orleans. QB Landry Jones should have this offense firing on all cylinders. Sooners are deep and after heading to Florida State Sept. 17, they have a pretty easy conference road slate going to Kansas, K-State and Baylor, before ending the year in Stillwater vs Okie State. Their toughest game will be at home vs Texas A&M on November 5th.

2. ALABAMA CRIMSON TIDE – This Tide team has a stacked defense with 10 returning starters. Heisman hopeful RB Trent Richardson will look to lighten the load for their QB. ‘Bama travels to Penn State and Florida, but should meet up with the Sooners in the Superdome.

3. BOISE STATE BRONCOS – Can this be the year that a mid-major finally cracks the BCS and gets a championship shot. Who knows? I know this. Boise needs to beat Georgia in week 1 and then run the table. Under HC Chris Pederson this team is 61-5 the last 5 years. The return QB Kellen Moore who only threw 35TDs last year with 5 picks. They also return 1200 yard rusher Doug Martin. It will be hard for the Broncs to jump an undefeated power-conference in front of them, but Boise just has to win. They can’t be blamed for who they can’t get to play them in a non-conference game.

4. VIRGINIA TECH HOKIES – Yeah, I am putting Tech this high. Frank Beamer doesn’t have a tough road game on the map this year. Hokies get all their tough opponents at home. Tech might not get much love early as they have fluff on the schedule in September, but they will be in the thick of things come late in the season.

5. OREGON DUCKS – Tough to count out this team as they were the runners-up last year. Ducks led the nation in scoring 47ppg and total offense last year. They still have QB Darron Thomas and RB LaMichael James, a pair of Heisman canidates. We will find out early how good this team is as they face a ranked LSU team this Saturday.

6. FLORIDA STATE SEMINOLES – Don’t look know but Jimbo Fisher has the ‘Noles back on the rise. This team is very talented and will have a chance early to prove it on Sept. 17th when the Sooners come to town. Oklahoma won 47-17 last year, but FSU does return all 4 starters in the secondary to try and slow down Landry Jones. If they can pull that upset at home, and avoid a let down at Clemson the next week, this team just may show up in the BCS hunt.

7. TEXAS A&M AGGIES – Don’t miss this other BIg 12 team. 18 returning starters. They beat both Oklahoma and Nebraska last year (Big 12 Championship game participants) HC Mike Sherman has his best bunch yet. Aggies host both Texas and Oklahoma State but travel to Oklahoma Nov. 5.

8. STANFORD CARDINAL – Can’t really sleep on this team. They have the #1 pick in next years draft in QB Andrew Luck. New HC David Shaw was the OC here so not much will change.

9. LSU TIGERS – Plenty of question marks with the arrest of their QB Jordan Jefferson. Les Miles is a hell of a recruiter and LSU consistantly sends guys to the NFL. We find out what the Bayou Bengals are all about with their early tilt vs Oregon

10. GEORGIA BULLDOGS – This team is similiar to LSU. They always seem to be poking their heads around the big dogs. This team was 6-7 last year. Bulldogs have solid QB play in Aaron Murray who played great as a freshman. Georgia needs to get past Boise on Saturday, game in Atlanta. They only have 3 SEC road games vs teams with losing records last year.

11. WISCONSIN BADGERS – Easy to pick this crew to win the Big 10 Leaders Division. Ohio State is in flux, I don’t care what people think. That is a fade play for me all year. Wiscy will beat you down with their monster OL and a steady diet of RB Montee Ball and James White. They will take the load off the QB. A tough schedule, but this offense closed out the year scoring 83, 48 and 70 all vs Big 10 teams.

12 ARKANSAS RAZORBACKS – HC Bobby Petrino loves to put up points and this team should score in bunches. These guys play both Bama and LSU, plus Texas A&M and South Carolina. It is tough putting them this high, but I like the talent.

13. SOUTH CAROLINA GAMECOCKS – A balanced attack no doubt with super soph RB Marcus Lattimore and WR Alshon Jeffery and one of the top D’s in the country. Spurrier finally got to a SEC Championship game last year. The September 10th game vs Georgia will basically determine if this SC team can run the table.

14. WEST VIRGINIA MOUNTAINEERS – West Va has the best QB in the league with Geno Smith. They have a top OL and a playmaker in WR Tavon Austin. New HC Dana Holgorsen former OC of Oklahoma State (520 ypg 44ppg) will light up Big East scoreboards.

15. NEBRASKA CORNHUSKERS – Only 12 starters back from last year, but they keep QB and RB production. Bo Pelini’s bunch gets Ohio State and Michigan State both at home, while they must travel to Wisconsin (10/1) If they can survive Wiscy and Home Coming vs the Buckeyes the next week, they could build some momentum heading to the end of their schedule with road games vs Penn State and Michigan

16. MICHIGAN STATE SPARTANS – Again, I think this team will be under a lot of people radar this year. QB Kirk Cousins is poised for a huge SR season, RB Edwin Baker can run and they have a nice upperclassman WR unit. They get Notre Dame, Ohio State and Nebraska all on the road.

17. NOTRE DAME – Not a big ND fan, but I do like HC Brian Kelly. He has a tough schedule on hand and things can go down hill fast if they dont take South Florida seriously on Saturday. They should be favored all year long heading into their last game vs Stanford.

18. OKLAHOMA STATE COWBOYS – They lost their OC, but I can’t see this unit slowing down with QB Brandon Weeden and WR Justin Blackmon around. Cowboys have some tough road games in conference going to Texas A&M and Texas before hosting the Sooners.

19. TCU HORNED FROGS – Gary Patterson will have a tougher go here in 2011. Just 8 returning starters and they have to go play on the Blue Turf in Boise. Frogs still have a solid RB attack and thier leading tackler from last year.

20. OHIO STATE BUCKEYS – I really don’t even want to put this team up here. They are still THE Ohio State University, so they are deep and talented. I just want to see how things are going to play out here before I start moving or fading this team
