Cubs’ Soriano leaves game with quad strain by The Sports Network

 Chicago Cubs left fielder Alfonso Soriano left Monday’s game against the Houston Astros with a left quad strain.

The injury occurred in the bottom of the first, as Soriano attempted to beat out an inning ending grounder. He was replaced by Blake DeWitt.

Entering Monday, Soriano was batting .273 with 12 home runs and 29 RBI in 48 games played.
