San Francisco 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick had leg surgery after the NFL draft last month.
The Bee reported on Friday that Kaepernick, San Francisco’s second-round draft choice out of Nevada, underwent a minor procedure on his lower left leg.
The 49ers were made aware of the surgery, and it is not expected to keep the signal-caller on the sidelines for any significant time, according to the paper.
Kaepernick threw for 3,022 yards, 21 touchdowns and eight interceptions, and rushed for 1,206 yards with 20 TDs for the Wolf Pack in 2010.
Over his four-year tenure in Reno, the 23-year-old California native threw for more than 10,000 yards and 82 scores.
